I finally finished one of the more daunting projects I've ever attempted; The Frame Model. I have no idea how much money went into it for supplies, although I have the reciepts so I guess I could add that up. I estimate it took near 100 hours to complete. I'm seriously considering getting some of my own equipment for shooting my film. I used STAR's shotgun mic yesterday and damn it worked SO nicely that I really want my own now. I'm looking at one from B&H that's $150, and that's like the lowest priced one...after that they jump to $300+ which frankly I'll leave up to people who arn't doing just ( Read more... )

OK the art building at achool is a really cool place to hang when you've got fun people there. Last night I went to finish my drawing and Leah, a fellow photographer, was printing her bug prints. The drawing is going well. I've got like 80% done now...I only have left the cast shadows, and they're all kinda one color so it shouldn't be too hard. It's just a lot of surface area to cover which is just plain time consuming.

( There's more here. I just don't like to have all my ramblings fill up folks' friends' pages. Not that I'm complaining to anyone, but I feel like it's a courtesy I can at least do for you all letting me read your stuff. :-) )

I spent all night drawing....at school! Well it's not like I'm never at the art building at all hours of the night, but this time I was in a different room, it was creepy being in there by myself with all those tall looming easils...and when I turned the lights out it was pretty cool with just my own lamp on. Yeah.........So, I got my rough storyboard all made up today. I think I'm gonna try to do something quasi Hitchcock with the strangling scene. Maybe I'll have like 10 or so fast cuts of the action and then a longer shot of the dead body and the dragging. I think it'll be good. Ok I wrote a script for my movie. It's an adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood. If you don't know the story, it's really gruesome and horrible, everyone gets eaten and what not. Ok I'm gonna post it here and you can read it if you like.
